  • Which program is right for me and my dog?
Each of our options are meant to be customizable and fit the training needs of most dogs. The differences are usually based on convenience. Give us a call to find out more about each program!
  • What age do you start training at?
We do offer a special puppy program for when puppies are 12 weeks of age. Inquire within for more information! Our standard programs start at 5 months of age and technically, don't have a maximum. We have trained upwards of 10 to 12 year old dogs. It's all based on the health of the pup!
  • Are you and your trainers certified?
We started our career in the dog industry in 2016. Not only do we have years of experience, we are also certified through IACP and AKC.
  • What is Balanced Training?
We believe every dog is an individual and has their own sets of needs along with their instinctual traits. We want to lean on the things your dog loves, whether that is a toy, treat, love, play, or fulfilling their drive! We also want to reinforce your dogs behaviors by using whatever tool your dog responds best to whether that is a collar/leash, slip lead, prong, or e-collar.
  • What is the Lifetime Guarantee?
After completing our Board and Train or Daytrain, we offer lifetime support with free, one hour refreshers that are applicable for the lifetime of your dog! We want to ensure that we support you and your dog through any life stage. This is includes in person refreshers and/or text/call support.
  • What are the training collars?
We utilize training collars such as, a slip lead type of leash, prong collar, and the Mini-Educator Remote E-Collar. These tools are very helpful for many reasons, but not every dog goes home with these tools. We determine this based on your needs, your dogs needs and age/temperament. It's a common misconception that training tools are only needed for large, aggressive dogs. These collars are not to be misunderstood as an electric collar/shock collar, but an electronic collar. Meaning it simply sends a stimulation much like a tap on the shoulder.
  • Where are you located?
We are excited to be opening up in Royal Oak, MI in February of 2025. The address is 4940 Delemere Ave, Royal Oak, MI 48073. This will replace our location in Ferndale which is 138 Stratford Rd, Ferndale, MI 48220. We opened a second location in the summer of 2024 and is located at 12849 Rathbun Rd, Birch Run, MI.
  • Where does my dog sleep during the Board and Train?
Each dog is assigned to a crate based on temperament and size for overnight and during afternoon rest times. We have multiple rooms to allow for uninterrupted and isolated sleep or some dogs rather sleep next to a dog also crated. Our facility is 24-7 monitored by our state of the art camera system. We also have late night staff and early morning staff to ensure that the pups are cared for.
